This is a workshop hosted by our friend, Kristina Maletta from Kakalligraphy! This unique calligraphy class is designed for those looking to try their hand at the modern pointed pen! This workshop is curated to provide beginners with the tools and resources needed to begin their journey with the pointed pen in a modern way.  Students will be taught my Frolic Script: a “loose” script with a moving baseline.   In this one day class, students will learn the basics of the uppercase and lowercase characters, as well as layout techniques. 

We will also be working a bit with dark paper and envelopes for fall and minimal space is available.

Supplies include the following:

• Straight pen holder
• Various nibs
•  Sumi Ink + Colored ink
• Practice sheets
• Exemplars of Frolic Lowercase + Uppercase letters
• Basic Calligraphy Knowledge Outline.  

No experience necessary and all supplies and refreshments are included!
